Product is good, would have been better if it had a warranty card
This has been a dream watch of mine for a year now, and it was well worth the wait. I saved a lot by ordering from Amazon! However, I was disappointed when the product came without an international warranty card. Since I live abroad, I am unable to have my Tag repaired in case it somehow gets damaged. As for the product itself, I have no complaints about it. It's as good as advertised.

Quality for sure bit is it worth the price?
My first Tag Heuer chrono. I have a decent collection with many different types of watches old and new and felt this one would be rugged and compliment the others. The watch came in one piece, this is a good thing. the packaging is nice but not any more special than my Invicta. Not that packaging is a big issue. The watch was packed well and its shipping/storage case is very nice. It comes with its bracelet closed over a pillow. Adjusting the bracelet is easy, if you have the right tools, by removing pins from each section you want to remove and fine adjustment is done by moving pins on the clasp.
Setting it us is easy but the instructions are very poorly written. Illustrations and a little of your intuition will enable you to set the time and date. The movement does not feel precise as watches costing much less and there is some lash in forward/backward movement of the hands during setting. The stop watch second hand can be calibrated to reset to 12:00 position but it is half a second off between 12:00 and the first second, something that shouldn't be an issue with this type of watch costing as much. One of those irritants that's not enough to warrant sending it in for repair but still annoying. The older, pre Tag, Heuer watches and stopwatches never had this kind of qc issue. There are also other calibrations for dial functions. The luminous hands and dial markers are clear and easily read at night.
Operation of the watch is simple and seemingly faultless in normal or stop watch modes. Buttons are solid and operate with a sure click. The crown is a screw down type for a water tight seal but not sure I'd take it diving. Time keeping is, so far, right to the second synced up to the atomic clock. We'll see if it stays. The good news is there is no reason not to believe the watch will perform well for years to come. The bad news is you're paying a steep price for a watch that is similar in quality to the much lower priced Swiss Bulova and Accutron movement chronos that are every bit as nice, if not nicer. Even my Marine Star Bulova chrono with a Japanese movement-don't know who makes them, is comparable. Seiko and Citizen are possibly superior to the Tag Heuer and represent a much better value. Having mentioned that, don't let it stop you from buying the Tag as it should provide good service for years to come if you take good care of it. The movement should be serviced and remember that because this is a battery operated watch meant for diving, you will need to replace the case seal when you replace the battery to ensure it's water tight seal.
Bottom line: I got the Tag because of the unique red dial and simple curiosity. If you're looking for quality for less, you can easily find it but if you want the Tag, you should be well pleased. Is it worth the nearly 1k price tag? You'll have to decide once you own it. Buy it for the novelty if you wish but for quality and ruggedness, there are better choices for less.

Just an awesome watch!
The watch came in a beautiful box ..Tag Heuer are known for their sturdy and precise time keeping and I can attest to both. I have brushed the watch against a few hard surfaces( yeah painful!) but the glass on the dial has remained scratch free. and the time keeping is extremely precise.. Make sure that if you are changing the dates on this watch that the crown is in locked down position after you are done with changing the date.. A perfect watch and one that I shall cherish for a long time.. waiting for the formula 1 season to begin!

Great watch, but
Picked this watch up yesterday. Feels good, works good, looks great. Amazon and UPS were on time, no complaints. The point I would like to mention is that the reason you are getting this watch for 2, instead of 00, is that you will get no support from TAG at all. I called TAG's 800# just to verify if the serial number was genuine and they could not or would not give me any info on any watch that was not purchased by an authorized dealer. The TAG came with no paper work from Amazon, not even a packing slip. Something to think about if the TAG ever needs service.

Poor quality
The stem (the part you wind up) has popped out three times. The first time, they fixed it under warranty. The second time, a month later, they charged me 5. It came back and a week later the stem was gone again. I stuffed it in a drawer for a few months and when I finally got around to going back to the jeweler, they told me it would be another 5 as the warranty had expired. Shame on me for not bringing it back quicker but frankly I am sick of these guys. The jeweler (Long's Jeweler in Burlington Mass, totally useless and unhelpful) said warranty decisions from Tag are final.
The also mentioned "this was not normal" and "you must be setting the time wrong". I've had numerous watches I know how they work. Furthermore I never set the time after the first return, it came back set correctly I never had to. I only wore this watch to work (desk job) a few times. It was in no way used "incorrectly" nor abused nor hit on anything nor even worn during any type of strenuous activity. It's just a lemon.
I'm not paying another 5 to fix it. Does anyone want a Tag with a missing stem?
BTW My first Tag also had problems, it's a now discontinued model with a problem where the watch would fall off because the metal band was designed in such a way that the pins would come loose.
What is worse than the quality of this watch, is that Tag would charge me 5 to fix it in the first place, then on the third time back for the same problem, they want another 5 to fix it again. Not good at all. Plus it's my second bad experience with a Tag watch.
Tag is the cheap expensive watch. Save your money and get a Timex, or spend some extra and get a Breitling or a Rolex. Don't get a Tag.

DH Jacksonville Jared Galleria
I purchased my Formula One from Jared Galleria of Jewelry
My watch stopped keeping time two months after purchase. I had to spend two months for repairs. The said the movement did not work. Tag replaced the entire inside of the watch. The watch is a piece of junk. A new watch that cannot keep time is a joke. The customer service is a joke. DO NOT BUY this watch.

Cool watch!, but I don't know about the warranty...
First of all, the watch itself is beautiful and elegant. Great price. No complaints about the product. Everything is fine... but when you read the warranty theme, things get a little bit confuse as follows: first, if you read the Manual it says that the warranty comes in a little card inside the package, then you take a look at the little card and says nothing, it is not fill by the distributor as required in the Manual. So, It looks like you don't fulfill the conditions to ask for the warranty as stated in the Manual.

Nice Classic Looking Watch
I just purchased this watch through amazon.com. It was either this or the formula one alarm version at costco. The alarm feature on the other version isn't very useful so I decided against it. Packaging was nice, came in the tag box and case with manual. I like the look of chronograph watches and the additional feature to stopwatch anything is something i wanted to time rides, drives, runs etc...
Style is up to taste, but I find this a simple casual style watch you can wear with a t-shirt or be formal with a suit.
The two buttons on it are pretty easy to use, one to start/split and the other to stop/reset.
The watch has two main features, one is to tell time, and the other is the chronograph.
For telling time, the big red "second" hand doesn't move and hovers over the 12 o'clock mark. The dial on bottom serves as the second hand and moves continuously.
In Chronograph mode, the top right dial only moves after you stop the stopwatch or to do a split time. It will move to show the time in 1/10. The large red second hand will start to move once you are in chronograph mode and the left dial will move for minutes. I'm not sure, but I assume if you do something for over 30 minutes, then the dial will continually move and reset at 1minute.
Overall - I'm very happy with it. I believe Amazon has the lowest price on the web and they give a 2 year warranty which equals TAGs. Costco has a similar warranty deal as well. The prices are better than ebay, and those guys don't even offer a warranty period. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is it's reliability and service life. For something you pay 0+ for, you expect it to last nearly a lifetime, This will remain to be seen.
I've also noticed when I purchased, the price fluctuates between 729-749 day to day. So if you're patient, just keep on checking to save that extra .00

Great Tag Heuer.
I was bit nervous about ordering a fine watch over the internet, but my fears were baseless. I love this watch. It is exactly what was advertised. The only downside is that since Amazon is not an official Tag Heuer retailer you don't get an official warranty card. However Amazon does provide a comparable 2 year warranty. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
