Poor Quality! Broke very quickly!
I bought this keyboard package for my son as a birthday gift so he could take lessons. However, after barely 6 months of use, the keyboard has begun to turn off in the middle of play. It is completely useless now and I am going to have to purchase another one.
When I went to Casio's website to look into the warranty, one of the selections for reason of return said "Shuts off during play." So I guess this is not a rare issue. I filed a claim, being less then 1-year from date of purchase, but the kicker is, I have to PAY to have the keyboard shipped to Casio. Then there is no guarantee that I won't be charged for repair.
I am so unhappy about this and so is my son, who will have to miss lessons and practice until we can buy a better keyboard. And definitely NOT a Casio!

great family fun
very nice product. easy to use. my 2 yr old can turn it on, adjust the settings, play rythmns and have a great time.

Missing Record Option
I have the LK-110 & really like this keyboard, it is a ton of fun. It has an easy interface to learn with. It has Steps 1-3 and a demo for each song (this helps with keeping rhythm.) There are 100 songs, 100 sounds, & 50 rhythms which is enough for any beginner. One really good quatlity are the midi ports for compatibility. So, for the price is definatly worth the value. The only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 was because there is not a way to attach the stand and it is a little more likely to fall.

Great gift, perfect price
This Christmas we bought the Casio Lighted Keyboard package for our daughter. This was the best gift we could have given...she loves it and plays it everychance she gets. In fact, my husband joins in on the fun. I like the key light up, great learning tool. I would definately recommend this Casio keyboard package to anyone...it's the best for the money spent (invested).

Really encouraged my beginning pianist.
I have a 6-yr old who had been taking piano lessons. I initially wasn't interested in all the "lighted, follow-along" song features, had just wanted a basic keyboard, but I'm so glad it came with all the bells and whistles--far from just playing her lessons, she actually plays with the follow along features, spending much more time on the keyboard than I ever anticipated.
I had been concerned about the comments made about the stand--while the keyboard does not secure to the stand, this is only an issue when you are moving it. Once the keyboard is in place, the weight of it makes it plenty secure.

Expressive Touch like a piano
If you're buying a keyboard having piano in mind, you'll want Yamaha's Touch Response feature. On an acoustic piano, striking a key harder will produce a louder sound, striking it softer will produce a softer sound. With Yamaha's "Touch Response" the EZ-200 keyboard responds like an acoustic piano.
Portable Grand: Industry's best piano
You're never more than a button push away from the most realistic piano sound in portable keyboards today. One press of the Portable Grand button resets the entire keyboard to a stereo-sampled piano--perfect for when it's time to practice. Yamaha is known around the world for the quality of our acoustic pianos and this attention to detail is evident as you enjoy the warmth and clarity of the EZ-200 Portable Grand piano. And of course, the keyboard includes a Sustain Pedal jack on the back for practicing and playing piano pieces.

Computer Connectivity: General MIDI (GM) and XGlite compatible
The music pathway to your computer and the Internet is MIDI. It's the way that keyboards communicate with computers. And because the EZ-200 is both General MIDI (GM) and XGlite compatible, you have access to thousands of MIDI song files on the Internet.
367 Voices and the One-Touch Setting
The EZ-200 has 367 Voices for you to choose from. For example, there are pianos, electric pianos, harpsichord, guitars, drums, bass, violins, brass and synthesizer voices. Pretty much every instrument in the orchestra is at your fingertips. And if you don't know which sound goes with what style of music, the keyboard can select an appropriate sound for you using the convenient One-Touch Setting.
Sound Quality: Real stereo (Not just 2 Speakers)
Some keyboards have two speakers but aren't stereo. Don't be fooled. Just because a keyboard has two speakers doesn't mean that it's truly stereo with two separate amplifiers. All Yamaha Portable Keyboards feature stereo-sampling technology.
32 Note Polyphony and 16 Part Multi Timbrel
In electronic keyboards, the more sounds made at the same time--polyphony--the more memory is needed. Obviously, more is always better, because too little polyphony can cause dropouts in dense passages of music. Some keyboards at this price point have only 12-note polyphony. The EZ-200 has 32 notes of polyphony and will play back 16 different parts or sounds at once (16-part multi timbrel); enough for the most demanding needs.
Reverb
Yamaha has long been a world leader in digital signal processing technology. In fact, Yamaha professional audio products are found in most professional recording studios around the world. The EZ-200 takes full advantage of this know-how, giving you an extensive range of nine, top-quality reverb effects that simulate playing in everything from a small room to a large spacious concert hall; a first in this price range.
Metronome
Just what the teacher ordered! A fully adjustable metronome is just a button push away.
Strike up the Band!--Keyboard Styles
In addition to the 100 songs found in the EZ-200, there are 100 Styles that allow you to play any song you like. It's just like having a built-in band. Call up your favorite style of music like Rock, Big Band or Country, press a chord or play Single Finger mode, and the EZ-200 will follow you through a piece of music, providing all of the drums, bass, piano, guitar, horn and string parts for you. With this instrument, you can make great sounding music with little more than 2 fingers, however as you learn to play, the EZ-200 will adapt to your new skills and automatically switch between single finger mode and fingered mode where you play all the notes of the chord.
Connectivity
The EZ-200 features MIDI In/Out, Sustain Pedal jack and a Headphone jack for private practice.
Don't forget your Survival Kit!
Designed to provide you with everything you need to get started. Kit includes a two-year extended warranty, power adaptor, foot switch on models that require it, stereo headphones, bonus coupons and a DVD-ROM. Look for it at a dealer near you.

Happy as a starter piano for a 6 yr old
We bought the EZ-200 as a "first piano" for our 6 year old daughter who has begun piano lessons. We were concerned if she was mature enough to begin piano lessons and having room for a full-sized piano in our home. We were drawn to this piano with the two features of being full-sized and touch sensitive. So far she continues to practice five days a week! We are very happy with this model!

Great buy, good starter keyboard
--This was purchased for my daughter to have something to practice on while taking piano lessons, and I have been teaching myself as well. Granted, this is an "electric" piano so it does not have the sound of a real piano, but neither does a 00 Yamaha. If you want a real piano just buy one, if your testing the water or if you need something small and easy to practice on this will certainly do.
--Mine worked right out of the box and has had no problems. It comes with a song book and a detailed but easy to read instruction manual. The power supply is stamped Yamaha and contrary to other reviewers experiences I have had no problems. The stand also has worked fine for me. We have 2 large energetic dogs and they have not knocked it over yet. True, the keyboard does not snap or screw into the stand but so far it has been fine for us.
--The touch sensitivity works really well considering the price, I can count about six degrees of loudness depending on how firmly the key is played. The keys are about the right size and they play well but again they are not "weighted" and they don't feel like a real piano but they don't feel cheap or poorly made either. There are 2 Grand Piano voices and a couple others and they sound authentic at first but the more you play the more acutely you become aware of the subtle "electric" sound, especially with any sustain.
I'll update this if any major defects surface.

happy music maker!
I am so very happy with the Yamaha EZ-200 keyboard....a birthday gift to myself!!! Have been away from playing piano for many yrs. The lighted keys and tempo control are excellent features, making it easy to get back into playing. A really nice package deal, have not tried the headphones yet, but overall I am so delighted and pleased with this purchase. Also, great sound and full sized keys are a plus. I am always a satisfied customer at Amazon.com!

Not bad for my first keyboard,
It was a good price. However, the stand is really cheap it does not hold the keyboard at all the headphones are weak too they didn't even work. The keyboard was good though and I

Awesome Keyboard
This keyboard is better then expected. We bought this for out 11 yr olds birthday and he absolutely loves it. It is great for a beginner. The keys light up and it has a "waiting" setting that you can adjust depending on how fast or slow your fingers are to hit the keys. You can slow down the tempo as well until you get use to the way it teaches. It teaches you both right and left handed techniques. The headphones are great. The kids can be jammin and learning and you don't hear a thing on the outside. We looked for about a week and compared different models and purchased this one. The ease of use and instruction book understanding made this a hands-down winner. Also, the price was comparable and even better then those that were close with options. You also can turn off the lighted keys and songs and play whatever you want. This is our first real keyboard ourchase, not counting the toy model we had and we could not be more pleased with this purchase. The only thing I would change is the stand. It is not the sturdiest in the world so we will be replacing that soon. Other then that it is worth every penny we spent on it.
